God or Messiah: The way I see it, there are two ways to deny Jesus as being the Messiah of God. One is to not believe Jesus is the Messiah and the second is to believe that Jesus is the one and only God. Either way, His position as being the Messiah, is being denied. And the eternal outcome of that, is not good. For He cannot be both, He cannot be God and be sent by God. That would be very confusing and any part of doctrine that is confusing, especially when it's contraire to scripture, is not of God.

1 Corinthians 14:33 NKJV For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.

For confusion and evil go hand in hand:

James 3:16-17 NKJV For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. [17] But the wisdom that is from above is first pure,…

Either way, not believing Jesus is God's Messiah of promise, or buying into the belief that Jesus is the only one true God, both denies Jesus of His position of being the Messiah. And if He is not the Messiah, then He is also no longer the Mediator between God and man.

Timothy 2:5 NKJV For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,

The bible is very clear as to Whom Jesus is and with good reason.

1 John 4:15 NKJV Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

It doesn't get any clearer than that!

1 John 5:5 NKJV Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

Overcoming the inherited self-centeredness of the flesh, is the world, and according to this verse, one cannot overcome the world, if one does not believe Jesus is the Son of God. Being taught that He is both, the one and only God and the Son of God does not make any sense and is very confusing and we know from the bible that God is not the author of confusion. For confusion and evil go hand in hand:

James 3:16-17 NKJV For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. [17] But the wisdom that is from above is first pure,…

Anyway, overcoming the world is very significant towards one's salvation. For as it is written...

1 John 5:4 NKJV For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world-our faith.

Therefore, those that have faith in Christ Jesus, the Son of God has a different eternal outcome over those whose faith that Jesus is the One and only God, not believing the testimony that God gave of His Son.

1 John 5:10-13 NKJV He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. [11] And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. [12] He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. [13] These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

And denying Jesus of being the Messiah of Promise by making Him God, according to the apostle John, is indeed, of that spirit of antichrist. Anti meaning denying or resistant in accepting that anointing of God in your flesh, for the word Christ is not the name of Jesus but rather what God provides through His Son, which is His Holy Spirit. Keep in mind that the word Christ is the New Testament word for the Old Testament word Messiah, which means to be anointed. Therefore those that believe that Jesus is God, then there is no way they can find that same relationship with God the Father, as was exampled in the life of Christ Jesus, and if Satan has blinded one's eyes to that divine relationship, then they will never be able to come to know the Lord Christ, One on one. There is reason that the word Christ, sometimes is written in front of the name Jesus, sometimes it follows His name and sometimes the word Christ, is used alone. And the way it is used, has significance. And bottom line, believing Jesus is God, according to the apostle John is of that spirit of antichrist. Please take to heart and discern...

1 John 2:22-23 NKJV Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. [23] Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

It is my discernment that believing Jesus is the one and only God is indeed not acknowledging Him as being the Son of God, the Messiah of promise. And the outcome for those believing that, will be no different than the outcome of the Jews that did not believe Jesus was the Messiah.

I believe it is impossible for those that believe Jesus is the one and only God, to be able to comprehend the divine relationship that Jesus prepared for those that believe in Him, as the sacrifice, God gave for all mankind.

That place where Christ Jesus was, being in the Father and the Father in Him, by His Sacrifice, He prepared that same place for you and me and in His following prayer, He included those that would believe in Him by their word, their everyday submitting to the will of God as revealed through the indwelling Holy Spirit of God.

John 17:20-23 NKJV "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; [21] that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. [22] And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: [23] I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

This is that prepared place, far from being some mansion in heaven, as preached by those that preach a false thing, instead much richer, a relationship with God through Christ, and that opportunity for reconcilement with God, is today!! This relationship is not in the future but today so the world can witness the will of God, being manifested in ones works of obedience.

However, as confirmed by scripture, without a submissive heart before God, there is no indwelling Holy Spirit.

Acts 5:32 NKJV And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him."

And in this divine relationship with God through Christ, Christ is the only teacher of the obedient children of God, not a credentialed man teacher. For Christ, is their one and only teacher. And this teaching is accomplished through the anointing that God privies through Christ Jesus.

1 John 2:27 NKJV But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.

By Jesus’ own words He confirms that Christ, that anoint of God through Him, is the only teacher of those living in Christ or in that anointing. Take to heart that the following scripture is Jesus' own words.

Matthew 23:8,10 NKJV But you, do not be called 'Rabbi'; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren. [10] And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ.

And the apostle Paul wrote about those that have not learned Christ, for they have deaf ears to that anointing of God, that is provided through Christ.

Ephesians 4:20-24 NKJV But you have not so learned Christ, [21] if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: (Notice: no mention of a pastor or preacher) [22] that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, [23] and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, [24] and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

There are many more verses that support that Jesus, even this very day, has a God and Father, and even at the end of time, He will still be the Son of God.

1 Corinthians 15:24 NKJV Then comes the end, when He (Jesus) delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.

And here is another important point to consider! Make no mistake, it was not God that hung on that cross, it was His Son, Jesus the Christ, the Messiah.

John 3:16 NKJV For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Placing God on that cross waters down the blood of Jesus to that of water, for any loving Father, and this I know personally, would gladly give up his own life, to spare the life of his son. And that is a fact!

If you have bought into the belief that Jesus is the one and only God or the ideology that Jesus is 100 percent God and 100 percent man, as I've heard preached, from what I discern, is a false message having a very undesirable eternal outcome for those that place their faith in that teaching.
